Born out of the vibrant college community of Harrisonburg, Virginia in Fall 2013, Strong Water is an energetic, up and coming Folk/Americana band beginning to make waves in the Mid-Atlantic music community. What originally started as a duo, swelled to be a six piece before settling on it's now-three dedicated members. Their sound is built on Greg Brennan's gritty voice and driving guitars intertwined with JJ Hostetter’s sweet voice and well crafted melodic Fiddle lines, and rounded out by Evan Hunsberger's tasteful Drums/Percussion and warm vocal harmonies. With a sonic style that is smooth, but has some bite, the band takes their old puritan name for whiskey literally. Their eclectic collection of originals range from Bluegrass & Blues, to their personal spin on the Americana and Folk-Rock genres, incorporating storytelling styles characteristic of old folk songs along with the sounds of their modern-day influences such as Mumford and Sons, The Lumineers, and Noah Gundersen.

Since the release of their debut album in April, 2016, Strong Water has traveled throughout the Mid-Atlantic while each member has held down full time jobs or been full time students. So far, the band's accolades include performances at festivals such as Red Wing Roots Music Festival (2017), performing on the Mainstage at Roanoke Festival in the Park (2017), and Lynchstock Music Festival (2017), and opening for bands such as Judah & the Lion, Cris Jacobs, The Last Bison, Devon Gilfillian, Lucy Dacus, Boy Named Banjo, and Old Salt Union.

Currently the band is working on their second album, with their first single and the title track of the record to be released October 20, 2017.
Lord Nelson
Lord Nelson
Lord Nelson is a rock 'n' roll band from foothills of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. Embracing a driving southern rock identity, they perform original songs about the land and people they grew up around. Inspiration comes from a variety of artists and genres for this 5-piece resulting in a unique sound that features three-part vocal harmonies, soaring horn lines, and funk-laden rock beats.

Since March of 2012, brothers Kai (guitar, vocals) and Bram Crowe-Getty (drums), and Henry Jones (trombone, vocals), have been the driving force behind the band. A rotating cast of players has rounded out the group, and currently features Robert Word on lead guitar and Trevor Pietsch on bass.

Following the release of their debut EP, Lost in the Orchard (a collection of songs arranged in an orchard farmhouse), Lord Nelson has been working hard to define their sound and expand their musical horizons. The band plays routinely in the Charlottesville area, while doing mini tours throughout the region.
Adar
Adar
Powerhouse vocalist and songwriter, Adar, is based out of Charlottesville, Virginia. She formed her band, "Adar", in the summer of 2016, and has since gathered an enthusiastic following with her compelling original songs and her charismatic performances. "Adar" draws from a deep well of original compositions, and introduces new takes on covers that transcend genres from Soul, Funk, Jazz, Rock, and more. She released her first EP, The Rapids, in March, 2017. It is available on iTunes, Google Music, and Spotify.

Reviewing The Rapids, Nick Rubin of the C-Ville Weekly, wrote, "On The Rapids, classic soul sonics give way to balladry as well as touches of reggae and Cubanismo. Her band delivers tasty trumpet and organ solos and whining steel guitar; Adar’s lyrics are sensorily rich with flavors and textures, and...production sets everything in the right space.”
